Sandra Bullock chats with Matt Lauer in this new video from Tuesday (August 31)’s episode of Today. The 46-year-old actress spoke about how she got involved with Warren Easton Charter High School with board member Arthur Hardy. Here are a few highlights: Arthur Hardy, on New Orleans welcoming Sandra: “The whole city has fallen in love with her. She belongs to us – don’t mess with Sandra! I’m serious – it’s like, you hurt her, you hurt us, and you better be ready for a fight!” On finalizing baby Louis‘ adoption: As sterile as the room seemed, it felt so rich – it felt like it was time. And the process is the way that the process is for very, very good reasons and I did not circumvent – I wanted to do everything exactly the same way everyone else did. It was nice to have someone say, ‘I think you’re a good parent.’” On keeping Louis’ adoption secret for so long and retaining privacy: “It takes good people with integrity. I remember, I read something like ‘How did someone keep a secret?” and it’s – human beings exist that have integrity, that know how to keep their mouth shut – that know the picture, that don’t sell out their friends. Those people are all over the place, but again, we don’t like to talk about it ’cause it doesn’t sell a magazine, but I was blessed with the same friends that I’ve had since before things got really special for me…when things get bad, they’re still the same friends.” Posted by Joanna

Sandra Bullock Gushes Over Baby Louis

In her first TV interview since her divorce from Jesse James, Sandra Bullock said on Today that things happen for a reason and she’s looking forward, not back. The Oscar winner spoke to Matt Lauer about her work New Orleans’ Warren Easton Charter High School and the finalization of her adoption of baby son Louis. She calls the lil’ fella her “little Cajun cookie.”
Sandra Bullock helps open a school in her son’s hometown. “Everything works out the way the universe wants it to work out,” said Bullock, who was on hand to open the new student health center she helped fund. Of the child she and James planned to adopt (she took over raising Louis solo after the couple split, she said, “We had always said it didn’t matter where the child came from. If they had issues that were medical issues, we didn’t care.” “The child that needed us is the child that’s going to be placed.” Reflecting on the “long, long” adoption process that led her to her new family member Bullock said now 7-month-old Louis is a perfect fit in her family: “We don’t have any boys in our family. Boy, is everyone really happy about that. He’s like the crown prince. You know, it’s nothing but girls in our family.” “It was just the hierarchy that needed to be broken.” Bullock credits her family and friends, whom she says have “massive amounts of integrity,” for keeping the adoption, which took place in January a secret. The story about Louis’ adoption months did not break until several months later – after Jesse James‘ cheating scandal had become front page news. “I’m blessed with the same friends I’ve had since before things got really special for me and blessed in life,” Bullock said. “I am truly lucky.” Posted by Joanna

Sandra Bullock helps open the Warren Easton Charter High School Health Clinic in a ribbon cutting ceremony in New Orlean, Louisiana on Sunday (August 29). The 46-year-old Blind Side actress. who is a part-time resident of New Orleans, helped rebuild the school and the clinic which was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina 5 years ago. “I have seen nothing but unimaginable kindness, perseverance and hope right in this room here,” Sandra said according to People. “It gives me great pleasure to be in the company of these people who have actually made the difference. Sandra Bullock to Give First Interview Since Divorce

Yesterday, Elin Nordegren spoke out about her split from Tiger Woods for the first time following the sordid sex scandal that shattered their marriage late last year. Now, Sandra Bullock is speaking out for the first time since splitting with Jesse James under similar circumstances. She’ll speak with Matt Lauer on Today Tuesday.
Sandra Bullock has handled an awful situation impeccably. Days after winning her Best Actress Oscar for The Blind Side, the actress was blindsided when by news that Jesse was sleeping with Michelle McGee … and others. In April, she announced she had adopted a baby from New Orleans: 3-month-old son, Louis. She officially divorced James in July and says they have moved on. Sandra Bullock leaves an antique store after doing some shopping on Tuesday (August 24) in Austin, Texas. The 46-year-old actress will preside over the ribbon-cutting ceremony for a health clinic in New Orleans that she helped fund after the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The Warren Easton High School Health Clinic, which received its major funding from Sandra, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Kellogg Foundation, will open on the anniversary of the hurricane (August 29). Sandra will give her first television interview since her split with Jesse James next Tuesday on the Today Show with Matt Lauer. Janine Lindemulder Calls Ex Jesse James "Cruel And Selfish"

Looks like the war wages on between Jesse James and his ex-wife Janine Lindemulder. Jesse recently got the okay from a judge to move their daughter Sunny, 6, to Austin with him, but now Janine is slamming her ex for not allowing her to say a proper goodbye to her daughter. Janine thought James and his three kids were moving to Austin last Friday but was upset when she learned they did not leave until the following day, according to a report on RadarOnline. “I gave up time with my daughter so that Sunny could travel with her dad,” Janine said. “But I could not get her on the phone until I finally spoke to her on Friday evening when Sunny told me that she had been at home in California all day. “I sat at home crying when I could have been with my daughter but Jesse just did not care, he was being cruel and selfish. “On Saturday she spent the whole day traveling so I never actually got to say goodbye in person to her.” And it sounds like Janine will be busy juggling visits with Sunny as well as with her son Tyler. “I’m still trying to make arrangements to go and visit her in Texas but I may split my time in Oregon too where my son and other family are,” she said. Rumors of Jesse James and Kat Von D dating have caused a stir this week, but the woman he recently scorned by cheating apparently just wants the best for him. What a mature, non-scandalous response. While not addressing the Von D situation directly, Sandra Bullock has only words of welcome as her ex-husband and family plan a move to her adopted hometown. “I support Jesse in his move to Austin,” the Academy Award winner tells People. “We have both moved on with our lives and only want the best for each other.” “Anything else that is said on my behalf is inaccurate.”
None of this crap is true, in other words. While Sandra and Jesse aren’t getting back together, she’s also not “betrayed” or “humiliated” by his current actions. Really, both just want to move on privately. For Bullock, moving on includes finalizing her adoption of 8-month-old son Louis Bardot on August 13 surrounded by friends and her sister Gesine in New Orleans. “She is so in love with her child,” says a source. As for motorcycle CEO James, he too is starting to move on in the wake of the bombshell cheating scandal that led to his June divorce from Bullock. Says a source close to Jesse: “I think he’s starting to grasp reality a bit more, and that it’s going to take a lot longer and a lot more than he thought to bring things back to what they were.” Tattooed friends with benefits can’t hurt. Sandra Bullock doesn’t want Jesse James, but she still wants his kids. Sources are saying that Sandra and Jesse are communicating these days, but only so that Sandra can still be involved in the lives of Jesse’s children, Sunny, 6, Chandler, 15, and Jesse Jr., 12 “She’s doing it especially for Sunny,” a source close to the actress says. “She is not ready to give up on Jesse’s children. She wants to be in their lives and continue to spend time with them. Sandra will not be letting him back into her life otherwise. She is holding strong and firm to her solo future plans.” Those solo future plans including raising adopted son Louis. “Sandra is moving on with her life and settling into single life just fine. She is busy with baby Louis, work and friends,” the source says. “They are selling their joint L.A. home together and Jesse has his own L.A. place. Sandra will split her time between Texas and New Orleans and Jesse will split his time between LA and Texas. “Sandra and Jesse speak infrequently, via email and other people,” the source continues. “It’s a lot to take on so close to their break-up … but it is all about the kids. Her friends are worried about her being close to him at all, but Sandra knows what she wants. Sandra Bullock and Jesse James were photographed together Monday for the first time since their marriage imploded, but don’t expect a romantic reunion. We think. The two were seen walking together outside James’ West Coast Choppers shop in Long Beach, Calif., after the actress appeared at the Teen Choice Awards. Bullock and James, who finalized their divorce in June, are on speaking terms again as James is preparing to move his family near her Austin, Tex. home. His kids are close to Bullock, and “Jesse would not relocate his family [Chandler, 15, Jesse Jr., and Sunny, 6] without consulting with her,” an insider said.
Sandra and Jesse in happier times. Long gone times. The motorbike mogul has been pining for Sandra to give him a second chance after he ruined everything by railing Michelle “Bombshell” McGee and others. Don’t bank on that, though. Not only is their divorce final, but the baby boy they adopted this winter, Louis Bardot, is now solely Sandra’s responsibility. Sources close to her have said she wants desperately to be part of the children’s lives going forward, but not his. In other words … it’s seriously over.
