Sandra Bullock looks gorgeous in a draped red dress as she graces the cover of EW’s latest issue, on newsstands today!
Here’s what the 46-year-old actress had to share when she spoke to the mag last October:
Crash co-writer/director Paul Haggis on Sandra’s versatility: “I remember right after Crash, I was pitching Sandra Bullock to a studio for another dramatic role and they went, ‘I don’t know, America doesn’t think of her this way’. Now those same people want her for everything. It’s hysterical.”
A top film agent, on a high demand for Sandra: “She’s getting offered all the scripts that matter. Everyone is rooting for her. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Sandra, on the ups and downs of Hollywood: “You have really high peaks and you have some valleys. The nice thing is that something like The Proposal gives you is you get to say, ‘Okay, I’ve done it. Something wonderful happened.’ But you can’t always have wonderful things, one after the other so just be happy with what you’ve got and that’s it.”

“SEA LEGS” a Shakespearean Sonnet
She spoke in waves~ways to roll over me.
Waves roll from her eyes over sequin lace.
As I forget the lines to be her scene.
A vacant look in her vanity space.
Rolling onto my ocean scenes~waves.~
Crashing on my moment to be with her.
Until the next scene I forget the same.
Another look from her and that’s for sure.
Waves on my ocean seems to be the way.
Silhouettes from eyes roll sequins from tears.
Scenes from the beach her unforgotten day.
Scenes replaced by playful sons’ cherished cheers.
As she rolls onto shore from my ocean.
I walk wearily rows in slow motion.
“MID-MORNING SERENADE” a Shakespearean Sonnet
In the light of day she fell of the moon,
falling ever to be the girl for me,
cascading on feathers singing so blue,
floating on her merits for me to see.
You can imagine my utter surprise,
watching that daylight trickle crescent moon,
you never know what moon the sun will rise,
feathers caressing my eyes tender swan swoon.
As she floats swinging on a pendulum,
feathers swinging ever so patiently,
her floating feathers make me oh so come,
just from her feathers memory indeed.
Floating her swans feathers without a care,
Singing to my heart, “LOVE” I do declare!
“SPRING SYMPHONY” a Shakespearean Sonnet
Fountains from her pond spring rather tranquil,
as the birds chirp softly on her meadow,
for the quiet beauty for I am thankful,
the sanctity of the wonders that flow.
Spring forth for her love there is a fountain,
I swim to splash in essence of beauty,
from her fountain falling from her again,
the essence of her love life’s symphony.
She won’t change here in my life is sheltered,
the essence of her love in solitude,
I am here in the water it’s filtered,
floating in my raft to be to exude.
It’s a symphony fountain melody,
Essence to be,”LOVE” float to be indeed.
My Lady a Cinquain Garland
So hard
falling from steps
closer to feel from you
in my nethermost fall for two
vanquished.
Lifting
my sunken love
as I fall away too.
Knowing all the time with you love
bleeding.
I hear
your voice as I
walk to taste elegance
your never ending lotus path
in dreams.
I see
you again I
float down to the core afire
your a Cinquain Garland lady
to me.
My love
(it’s so early!!!)
for our love to be one
as we fly on butterfly wings
spiraled.
So hard
my sunken love
walk to taste elegance
your a Cinquain Garland lady
spiraled.
